The rules of using Calorie Correct. Plain language where possible.

Who's behind this
Calorie Correct is operated as a personal project. By using the app at caloriecorrect.com (the "Service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Your account
You may use Calorie Correct without an account — everything works locally on your device. If you choose to create an account so your data syncs across devices:
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure (Google account, email inbox).
- Don't share your account with other people. Each person should have their own account so calibration and history stay accurate.
- You must be at least 13 years old (and meet the minimum digital consent age in your country) to create an account.
Not medical advice
Calorie Correct is a calorie tracking and self-experimentation tool, not a medical service. Coach is an AI assistant — it is not a registered dietitian, doctor, or therapist. Use the app to track your own data and notice patterns, but talk to a qualified professional before making significant changes to your eating, exercise, or any health condition. If you have an eating disorder or a history of one, this app may not be appropriate for you.
The calorie counts, macros, and recommendations shown by Calorie Correct are estimates. They will not be perfectly accurate and should not be treated as exact.
What you may not do
- Try to break, abuse, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Use Coach to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content. Anthropic's acceptable use policy applies to all Coach interactions.
- Pretend to be someone else, create accounts on behalf of others without permission, or scrape user data.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service without permission.
Your content
The data you log (weights, meals, exercises, chat with Coach, notes) belongs to you. You grant Calorie Correct the limited right to store, display, and process that data for the purpose of running the Service for you. We don't claim ownership of your data.
Subscription and payment
Calorie Correct is currently free during the alpha and beta phases. If we introduce paid features in the future, the terms of any subscription (price, billing cycle, refund policy) will be presented clearly before you subscribe, and these terms will be updated to cover them.
Cancellation and deletion
You can stop using Calorie Correct at any time. From Settings you can:
- Export all your data as JSON or CSV.
- Delete your account, which permanently removes your data from our servers.
If we ever need to suspend or close an account because of clear abuse of the Service, we'll do our best to notify you first and let you export your data.
Service availability
We try to keep the Service up and working, but we don't promise uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate operation. We may change features, redesign things, or introduce new limits as the product evolves. Significant changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
Disclaimers and limits
Calorie Correct is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of the Service.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for things that can't legally be limited (such as gross negligence or fraud).
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll update the "last updated" date and notify signed-in users by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes go into effect means you accept the updated terms.
